Question:

I have a garage door that is 9′ x 8′. Metal with foam board insulation. Need torsion springs. The one that is on it is not enough to lift it. It is not the right one for it and I have nothing to compare it to. Can you tell me the right spring to order? The tracks radius is 15” and the door’s weight is between 115 and 120 lbs.

Answer:

Hello William, based on the information you provided, the right torsion spring for your garage door is 225 x 1-3/4” x 28”
