Although Genie Company makes excellent automatic door operators, Liftmaster (Chamberlain), have a strong reputation as their door operators have proven themselves to be reliable and durable through the years. Also, professional garage door installers may prefer Liftmaster over Genie because they can be somewhat easier and simpler to troubleshoot, program and repair.

Do you have an opinion of Liftmaster vs. Genie? I’m replacing my garage door and the opener. The garage door company strongly refuses to install a Genie which I will probably be able to get for free. Is there as much of a difference in quality as they say? The garage door company isn’t the only person Ive heard strong things about the Liftmaster from. I’d appreciate your help.
